Job: MOK-0003337 Sr. Structural Analysis -Loads and Dynamics

-Rate: $65 to $100/hr, depending on relevant experience and working location

Job Responsibilities:

-Finite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests
-Rigid and flexible body dynamics
-Modeling, simulation, and verification of spacecraft launch, docking, and landing events
-Acceleration, shock, and vibration measurement and data interpretation of ground and flight tests
-General loads development for spacecraft and related ground systems
-Support configuration development and trade studies


Minimum Job Qualifications:

-Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering
-5+ years of experience in the prediction/validation of low and/or high-frequency structural dynamics and loads, in addition to finite element modeling
-A solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals
-Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation
-Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools)
-Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
-Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


Expected Experience:

-Spacecraft and launch vehicle loads development/validation experience
-High-frequency environment prediction skills related to spacecraft and launch vehicles
-IMAT - Matlab interface
-Wave 6 Boundary Element Method FE-BEM modeling and analysis
Wave 6 Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA)


Desired Qualifications:

-Hyperworks, NASTRAN, and Matlab proficiency
-LS-Dyna proficiency
-Adams
