Electrical Technician

Description:
Major purpose:



General duties expected of a technician to include test, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and inspect product maintained in the shop to component level. Products include a mix of analog, RF, and digital circuits across through hole, surfacemount, and Ball Grid Array technologies. Must be proficient with PCs to operate with multiple data bases, M/S Office applications, and Automated Test Equipment. Will routinely use general purpose and specialized test equipment including multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Network and Spectrum Analyzers.Additional Job Requirements:



Applicant at a minimum must meet the requirements for the classification of Technical Associate II. Minimum qualifications for this position are an AA Degree in electronics or equivalent combination of schooling plus experience in an applicable environment. Preferred candidate should have knowledge of electronic theory relating to RF transmission, receiver circuits, analog and digital circuitry. Ability to troubleshoot RF circuits with working knowledge of spectrum analysis, coax cable measurements and calibrations is required. Prior experience in the procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, and equipment used in maintaining TCAS and Transponders and/or experience working within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station or Part 21 Production Approval Holder highly desired. Candidate must comply with DOT(FAA) drug and alcohol screening requirements.
