Job Duties:

• Surface plate work/inspection

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Able to read and interpret various mechanical drawings and blueprints
• Ability to utilize hand tools for inspection, i.e. micrometers, calipers, scales, gauges and height gauges
• Clear understanding of document control processes
• Ability to relate and interact with staff at all levels of the organization
• Works independently and is self-directed
• Experience with GD&T is desired
• Able to multi-task between production checks and FAIs
• Minimum of 3 years’ of precision mechanical inspection experience required

JOB SUMMARY:
The Sr. CAD Product Tech/Designer is an office based role, responsible for designing and coordinating per Liko product specifications, for acute care and post-acute care customers, as well as support for Home Care and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) projects. The role directly reports to the Manager, Liko Project Management. The ideal candidate will have prior CAD/Revit training and applied experience, and construction industry experience. The position requires 0- 5% travel depending on needs of business or specific project(s) requirements.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for designing LIKO overhead patient lift systems based upon customer requirements to aid in the preparation of pricing proposals, customer presentations, submittal data/drawings, order entry, product installation, and as-built drawings. Using departmental tools, create accurate design drawings and parts lists of lift equipment based on developed design solutions.
Provide an intermediate level of technical expertise on products and installation to Project Managers, Mobility Specialists, Distributors, DTC/Dealers, Contractors and Installers - including assistance with determining solutions that best fit customer needs.
Must be flexible in job related assignments and work overtime to meet project deadlines.
Update and maintain CAD/Revit library of LIKO parts and product information.
Work with systems support personnel to improve departmental tools and interfaces.
Assists with facilitating Liko product installation training classes, as needed. Travel O - 5% depending on needs of the project or business.

Technical Product Engineer - Medical Devices

Description:
Interface with manufacturing engineering, internal and external customers
Performing engineering assignments related to design, analysis, test, and validation of medical devices
Designing and optimizing mechanical components for use in medical devices.
Creating engineering and manufacturing drawings and 3D models in accordance with applicable procedures and standards
Supporting new product introduction from Engineering through the hand off to the production operations team

Unique Skills:
1. Candidate should have extensive experience developing new and making revisions to Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) procedures. Experience should include, but not limited to, on-aircraft field level maintenance and inspection procedures, wire diagram and/or standard wire practice manual content from supplier and engineering data
2. Experience with ENOVIA SmarTeam or similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) database products strong desire
3. Familiarization with CATIA three-dimensional (3D) modeling and two-dimensional (2D) CAD standards, format, and 3D/2D software products
4. 'Hands-on' experience or working knowledge of aircraft inspection programs, aviation regulations, aircraft system content organization and OEM technical manuals development preferred, as a minimum candidate should possess knowledge of the MSG-3 Maintenance Program and ISC Sustaining process
5. Experience with aircraft technical manual content organization and authoring using S1000D spec and SNS, or recent experience of the same using iSpec standards required
6. Familiarization with Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) best practices, applicable CFRs and development of related maintenance procedures desired
7. Accustom to a fast paced environment able to work overtime as required to meet deadlines
8. Understanding of and practical experience with Simplified Technical English, Spec ASD-STE100 and use of STE validation software desired
9. Mentor Graphics Capital Harness Systems (CHS) knowledge a plus

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in the authoring of technical publications. Four (4) years of Technical Publications writing experience. Advanced knowledge of all aircraft systems methodology. See Other Requirements in Job Description.

Other Requirements:
1. At least three (3) years of Standard Graphic Markup Language (SGML) or SGML-related software
2. Strong technical writing and communication skills are required.
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprint and Engineering Orders.
4. Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft tools, test equipment, vendor coding, parts nomenclature, maintenance procedures, and of aircraft equipment and maintenance.

Position Purpose:
-Responsible (either individually or with other team members) for the writing of major portions of technical publications.
-Supports the complete workflow process to ensure successful completion of each revision cycle and distribution of technical publications.
-Complies with established quality processes to ensure accuracy, ease of use and timely delivery of each revision cycle content.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
1. Write technical publications content as directed.
2. Conduct reviews and analyze technical documents to gain a thorough understanding of how complex systems operate and how they are to be integrated into technical manuals to provide the end user with the level of text and graphics to support the efficient return to service of the aircraft system.
3. Consult with internal, external customers and Engineering to create/revise technical manuals to support the department/corporate operating priorities.
4. Provide input to management on new processes or technology for integration into the technical publications business model.
5. Assist in developing solutions for overcoming the technology/technical issues introduced by outside suppliers for incorporation into existing manuals.
6. Work with management, other departments, and team members in the development of specific project data.
7. Provide liaison with Completion Center, Technical Operations, Production and/or Completion Engineering, Service Center to obtain the necessary approval for technical information prior to its release to customers.
8. Participate with publications team to ensure all internal department workflows and business processes are followed for issues relating to producing and delivering technical publications and associated Computerized Maintenance Program (CMP) data.
9. Work with internal/external customers in the development of specific project requirements of source data to ensure a seamless incorporation of new data in the publications environment.
