AIRCRAFT MECHANIC









The manager is looking for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC

This individual will spend the first two months of the contract in Oak Harbor, OH and the third month in Columbus, OH.

We are currently seeking an Aircraft Structural Mechanic. The selected candidate will perform a variety of operations to assemble and make major assembly structures, including fuselage panels and bulkheads. This a short-term 90-day position with a potential to be extended. The work will be performed at Oak Harbor, Ohio for the first 60 days and in Columbus, Ohio for an estimated 30 days. Primary work function would to install rivets and other fasteners onto Military Aircraft system.



Essential Functions:

"Read and understand blueprints

"Basic sealant application

"Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include: precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools

"Aligning parts on jigs using templates and fixtures

"Performing part-fitting operations: filing sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling and reaming

"Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions

"May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures

"Required ability to perform moderately strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and working overhead

"Must be able to lift over 25lbs

"Must be able to access small confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment



Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED equivalent

Must be able to pass medical/respiratory assessments

A&P Certification preferred but not necessary
