Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Three (3) years drafting/design experience to include documented experience in a tool shop or machine shop environment. Three (3) years Tool Design experience. One (1) year CAD/CATIA experience.

Position Purpose:
Performs engineering work related to the design of tools and equipment used in the manufacture and support of Gulfstream aircraft.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: 1. Under minimal supervision, design, tolerance and annotate tooling in 3D CAD environment that will be used in the manufacture and support of Gulfstream aircraft. 2. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing engineering and operations to determine optimal manufacturing procedures. 3. Present design concepts to a design review team composed of representatives from manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, operations, safety and other Tool Design Engineers. 4. Review and check Tool Designs, as required, to ensure conformance to specifications, intent, methods and procedures. 5. Write procedures on use of tools.

Additional Functions: 1. Actively works to improve daily processes, and ensures all work meets customer requirements. 2. Assist Tool shop as needed, during Periodic and Conformity Inspections. 3. Assist in formulating Tool Design policies, procedures, and specifications as required. 4. Perform other duties as required.

Other Requirements: 1. Must possess strong CAD/CATIA modeling skills and have a clear understanding of GD&T. 2. Demonstrated knowledge of materials, material strengths, heat treat method and uses. 3. Ability to conceptualize the following with minimal supervision. assembly tooling, composite tooling, machine tooling, handling equipment, and scaffolding.

User Designer

Description:
You'll provide user experience guidance to business units including Sales, Marketing, Completions, Product Support, and Business Technology. You'll lead the day-to-day design of products that assist pilots in their flight-planning efforts, that facilitate collaboration between our interior designers and our customers, and that leverage industry-first AR/VR technology to allow our users to envision the future of company products. You'll use design research methods to gather requirements from users and business stakeholders. You'll work in an Agile Scrum process and will be co-located with team members with roles as Scrum Masters, Developers, and Quality Assurance Analysts. You'll play a key role in the evolution of our mobile style guide into a system of design patterns. You'll help shape the look and behavior of our products, while working alongside stakeholders from our various business units. You'll build a living library of patterns, and help communicate its value to the organization. We'll be expanding the reach of User Experience from native apps to other parts of the business. This reach could include platform agnostic technologies and embedded software, which means experience with responsive design or physical UI controls are of added benefit.


Define interaction models, user task flows, and interface specifications. Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, and screen designs to stakeholders and development teams. Typically responsible for ownership of a project or a significant product release. Formally or informally presents design concepts and deliverables to design team and internal stakeholders and gets approval to move projects forward and drive them to completion. Participates in both internal and external design reviews.


Bachelor's Degree in User Experience Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Human Computer Interaction or relevant curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience 6 years experience as a UX professional.

Other Requirements: 1. Experience working in teams. 4. Experience with Agile Scrum development methodologies preferred. 3. A portfolio of work that demonstrates your skills, and the ability to articulate your role on the projects it contains.
