Electronics Technician

Description:
An Electronics Technician/Wire Harness Assembler job in Peoria, IL is currently available through Belcan. This job is a full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this position, you will need at least an Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience involving assembly of electrical and electronic systems, test stands, and prototype wire harnesses.
 
Electronics Technician - Wire Harness Assembler Job duties:
· Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototype wire harnesses according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles.
· Use of hand tools and measuring instruments to build and repair electrical instruments or testing equipment.
· Collaborate with electrical engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
· Record and maintain thorough and accurate records of all pertinent project information.
· Routine exposure to field conditions or actual manufacturing/development laboratory environments.
· Work with equipment that requires the utilization of good safety practices.
· This position also may require occasional travel to customer site.
 
Qualifications:
· Must be a US Citizen due to the nature of the work (ITAR Compliant position).
· Education: Associate Degree or equivalent experience in electronic technology, electrical systems, etc.
· Knowledge of electronic and electrical theories, education, and concepts.
· Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
· A valid driver's license is required.
 
Additional Desired Qualifications:
· Work experience with electronics, electrical systems and components, wire harnesses, etc.
· Work experience with hand tools, electronic equipment, electrical testing tools, etc.
· Ability to work in a team environment and take direction.
· Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
