Senior Hydraulics Systems Modelling Engineer - China

Description:
Our Aerospace Client based in China is looking for additional engineering Support. They require a Landing Gear Senior Performance & Dynamics Engineer.


This is an exciting opportunity to work in East Asia , contributing to the success of our Client's Aircraft Program. Excellent salary / remuneration for suitable skilled and qualified candidates.

Candidates should be prepared to live and work in Shanghai on a fixed term contract basis for 1-3 years.


The Senior Performance & Dynamics Engineer will be involved in conducting performance and dynamic analysis for  mechanical, hydraulic and occasionally basic electrical systems as they relate to aircraft, hydraulic, landing gear, extension/retraction, brake and steering. This engineer is also required to support requirements definition, and validation, verification test activities and  assist with the development of methods and tools. Possessing in-depth knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems, this engineer will generate strategies as they relate to performance and dynamics activities on given programme(s).


Key aspects of this job include the following:

 

  • Build computational models and run simulations.
  • Calculate static and dynamic loads.
  • Conduction performance and frequency response analysis.
  • Conduct stability, shimmy, model analysis and failure case analysis.
  • Correlate and validate computational models.
  • Write and validate performance and dynamic requirements.
  • Define and document simulation cases and pass/fail criteria.
  • Optimise design solution in conjunction with other engineering disciplines.
  • Define test requirements and analyse and interpret test results.
  • Adherence to the programme schedules.


Skills/ Qualifications / Experience Sought:

 

  • Knowledge of landing gear systems / hydraulic systems.
  • Experience of dynamic analysis and computational modelling and simulation.
  • Experience of model correlation and validation.
  • Knowledge of airworthiness requirements and certification.
  • Basic knowledge of systems and electrical engineering.
  • Working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, ADAMS and AMESim.
  • Sufficient experience to write requirements.
  • Minimum 20 yrs of related working experience in related landing gear or hydraulics.
  • Had working experience with major airframers or major suppliers.
  • Fluent English, with good communication skills.
