Position : Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Bothell, WA
Duration: 1 year

Description:
Manufacturing Engineering entry level position to help improve manufacturing assembly processes. Very interesting optical-mechanical products requiring unique solutions to improve efficiency and capability. Will develop assembly work instructions, and unique tool/jig/fixture designs. Creativity and flexibility a must. Provide day-to-day support to manufacturing operations to ensure quality, cost and schedule goals are met; Investigate, communicate, and solve design, producibility, and process related assembly issues as required. Define optimal material and product flow within the production work cell, taking into consideration the unique requirements of each customer. Generate and maintain detailed assembly work instructions including narrative, diagrams, photographs, attachments, and linked documents. Support the design change management activities. Analyze process defect data and trends and help define and implement corrective actions. Perform and communicate non-recurring engineering activities during production start-up, which includes tooling and fixture design, development of machine automation programs as required, and configuration of the manufacturing bill of materials for manufacturability. Interface with technical counterparts in other organizations.

Mandatory:
- Candidate must have BS Engineering degree, with less than 3 years work experience
- Comfortable in dynamic work environment with quickly changing priorities
- Understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals as it relates to product assembly, tool design and development.
- Ability to read/interpret drawings, parts lists, technical data package
- Knowledge of typical manufacturing assembly processes.
- MS product knowledge, specifically Excel and Word.
- Must be able to work on their feet for some extended amounts of time and in a cleanroom environment

Desired:
- 3D SW experience (CREO, Pro-E, or Solidworks)
- Optical experience
- SAP experience
- Experience with data analysis and trend analysis
