Description:
JSG is hiring a Designer - Manufacturing for a 18+ months contract opportunity in Stratford, CT!

Description:

Supports and manages low to medium complexity projects around the design and planning of layout for assembly and materials handling.
Adaptation of low complexity machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
Planning of sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
Responsibilities include Process Design, Work Instruction Planning, and Manufacturing Support of Electrical Equipment and Wiring Assemblies ( circuit breaker panels, relay panels, switch assemblies, etc..) for all programs supported, evaluating designs for producibility, developing harness tooling and manufacturing plans for components and harness assemblies. Interface with Design Engineering, Operations, Quality, Programs, Product Safety and the supply base in an effort to resolve issues relating to production.
Candidate should be proficient in interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering bill of materials, and also be familiar with CATIA 3D Drafting, and all Microsoft applications. Minimum 3+ years' experience with working in an electrical manufacturing / production environment.
