Description:
Prepare reliability & safety studies, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Aircraft Functional Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis and System Safety Analysis to certify modifications to the Challenger aircraft systems.

Evaluate potential modification/creation of Master Minimum Equipment List (MMEL) items with Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Prepare and present risk assessments for continued airworthiness queries.

Have at least 15 years of experience in the field of aircraft reliability/safety and in particular the following:

Creating and reviewing System safety assessments that meet the requirements of ARP4761.

Experience in evaluating in-service issues which are subject to safety.

Review and propose different certified maintenance task intervals for previously certified systems.

Experience with Continued Airworthiness Risk Assessments (CAA).

Experience in creating and proposing changes to the MMEL for TCCA and FAA.

Have experience in applied aerospace reliability engineering for mechanical and electrical components including reliability prediction.

Have completed various types of aircraft level assessments such as Particular risk analysis (rotor burst, tire burst) and zonal analysis.

Experience with ARP4754 is considered an asset.

Must be familiar with common reliability and safety processes and tools to perform the above mentioned tasks (e.g. Reliasoft, CAFTA.).

Experience with civil aircraft and civil airworthiness regulations is mandatory (TCCA, FAA, EASA).

Excellent comprehension and applied skills with FAR/JAR 25.1309 and all associated guidance material.

Good writing skills and communication skills in English is essential for the position.

Must possess the ability to work with minimum supervision and be a team player.

Must also be a person with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility and good engineering judgment.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Automation Engineer will report to the Maintenance and Facilities Engineering Manager. This position provides technical engineering services with some product management to support Maintenance and Production. Job Summary:
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Candidate must be highly motivated Test Station Development Engineer (TSDE) lead, looking to be converted into a permanent employee. The selected candidate will lead and provides individual contributor efforts for the development of test stations for the MK-48 Guidance and Control Warhead Electronics Systems (WES) development effort. This person will build and lead a team of other engineers.

For each test station to be developed, the candidate must work with the current engineering team to identify find the best solution, minimizing risk, complying with allocated cost and schedule, present the need for team members to functional level managers, lead the teams, and produce a robust and completely documented test stations.

The successful candidate needs to also be a very strong technical leader, hands-on contributor with electrical engineering development experience, a creative thinker, have the capability to build stations compliant with all specified requirements, within the allotted cost and schedule. A history of development, across a diversified team of engineers, suppliers, quality, manufacturing, etc., in all programmatic phases, is required.

For each test station development, the person will either own, or delegate the following activities:
1. Control Account Manager (CAM) with Earned Value Management in accordance with (ANSI/EIA-748)
2. Performing a combined role of technical engineering team leadership and Earned Value Management (technical, cost, and schedule integration/analysis/reporting)
3. Test station HW and SW development
4. Managing risk and opportunity
5. Conforming to Defense First Article and Qualification testing

It is highly desirable if the person is expert with Control Account Management particularly for defense contractors. Some of these CAM responsibilities/delegations include schedule planning and monthly measuring each test station development. Additional responsibilities (or delegations) for each station will include actual cost collection, variance analysis and resultant corrective action, and estimating costs at completion.
This position will require frequent meetings at the program office level, with customers, and with senior management as well as with the engineering team. Frequent bid and proposal work will be required, often times requiring considerably more than 40 work hours per week.

Job Description:
Responsible for the design, development and implementation of equipment, tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, industrial machinery, prototype model production and machine attachments required for production or experimental use, considering such factors as accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements. Comprehensive understanding and wide application of engineering and technical principles, theories and concepts will be expected. Determines, provides and develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems unique to each program assigned, with minimum direction or supervision.

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8-years of demonstrated professional Tool Design experience.
- MUST BE proficient in CATIA-V5 Generative Shape, Part, Assembly & Drafting workbenches.
- Proficient in the use of GD&T.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in aircraft tool design and fabrication, including composite lay-up and large assemblies.
- MS-Office proficient.

Desired:
- CATIA-V4 or V6 experience.
- Experience in structural analysis.
- Experience working in a fast paced, developmental environment.

Welder

Description:
Nesco Resource is hiring a Welder for a prominent Manufacturing Company located in the Danbury, CT area.



Under general supervision, the welder/pipe fitter is responsible for assembling and installing piping systems, pipe supports, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Installs pipe for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating and industrial production and processing systems. They will also be responsible for welding as it pertains to industrial burners, piping systems ranging from 1/2” to 12” and other fuel oil or steel plate assemblies.



Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum education requirement: HS graduate or GED.

  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.

  • Must be capable of interpreting blueprints, fabricating and welding to specifications.

  • Must be able to perform job in safe manner and produce a quality product.

  • Must successfully complete weld tests, which passes both visual and X-ray testing when needed.

  • Forklift certified 





This Position is Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm It is a Right to Hire/ Temp to hire position.

The pay is from $20.00 - $ 30.00/hr depending on experience.
