RF Engineer

Description:
Our client is looking for an experienced RF Engineer with an ability to obtain a secret clearance. This opportunity will be in the great state of New York! Ideal candidates will have 4-5 years of RF Design experience, so if this sounds like you then apply today!

The ideal candidate for this position will perform the following tasks:
* Architects and designs Radio Frequency systems and circuitry.
* Designs and develops RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers.
* Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test.
* Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes and tests RF hardware to verify performance characteristics.
* Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase.
* Develops RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment.
* Performs link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources. Develops and allocates RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements.
* Identifies and tracks RF technical performance measurements (TPMs).
* Performs RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis.
* Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.
* Perform RF/Analog production support and development work for advanced state-of-the-art receivers, transmitters, antennas, radomes, and anti-jam GPS systems.
* Design, test, and evaluate RF, analog, and digital hardware and test equipment. Perform computer aided circuit design.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:
* Some experience with laboratory work/testing and with analog, RF, and digital hardware, including practical experience with network analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
* RF Board Design experience required.
* Familiarity with MS Office applications.
* Ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:
* RF design, digital/analog circuit design, antenna and radome design, test equipment design and programming, Spice, HFSS, ADS, Matlab, Labview, Wireless Communication.
* Experience with schematic capture and printed wiring board layout using industry tools (Cadence, ORCAD, Mentor Graphics, Zuken CR-5000).
