Aircraft Stress Engineer Openings

Description:
Aircraft Stress Engineers needed.
MUST BE US PERSONS.
BS Degree a MUST.
FEMAP is a plus but not required.
Strong classical analysis/hand calcs a MUST.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) governing aircraft certification.
2. Strong understanding of aircraft structural modifications (both interior and airframe).
3. Strong command of classical hand-analysis techniques.
4. Proficient with the following software:
a. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
b. NASTRAN/FEMAP(basic user skill, proficiency a plus)
c. AutoCAD (basic user skill, proficiency a plus)
d. SolidWorks (basic user skill, proficiency a plus)
e. Visual Basic or other coding skills a plus
Final 1-2017
5. Strong knowledge of Finite Element Modeling and Analysis techniques.
6. Ability to interpret design drawings of various aircraft modifications and identify design changes required to
ensure that sound load paths and structural integrity are maintained.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent.
2. Five (5) or more years of experience working in aircraft stress analysis - airframe or interiors/completions on transport category aircraft, installation designs, including but not limited to Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) work, structural
substantiation analysis and report development, aircraft modification designs under 14 CFR Part 25 STC
projects, and test plans and test report authoring and review.
