Laser / Infrared Electronic Hardware Engineer (419)

Description:
*This is a full time, 6 month, contract to hire position, located in Nashua, NH



We are seeking a lead electronic hardware engineer who will be designing, developing, integrating, and testing (whole life cycle) of military Infrared, optical and laser equipment. Much of the work will be involving working with electronic circuit boards and cards, FPGA and CPLD designing (Xilinx and Lattice), analog, digital and mixed signal interface designing, incorporating legacy design, component selection, lab testing, etc.



Required:
*Applicants must be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance, requiring US Citizenship, in order to apply.
*8-12 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering working with lasers, infrared or other detection/imaging/camera equipment.
*Knowledge of digital/analog or mixed signal technologies.
*Familiar with electronics, preferably circuit board or card factory testing
*Military/DoD work environment experience
*Strong “hands-on” lab experience with instrumentation, equipment, and processes
*Familiar with interface standards including military/avionics communication buses (i.e. RS-485, Mil-Std-1553B, Ethernet)
*BSEE or equivalent



Pluses:
* Experience with XILINX & Lattice FPGA developments and toolsets; JTAG knowledge
* Life cycle engineering related to diminishing manufacturing sources/material shortages (DMSMS)
*MATLAB/Simulink tool experience
*Active or interim Secret Clearance (or active within last 2 years)
