Description:
Job Title: CNC Programmer
Pay Rate: $30.00-38.00/hour, direct, full time position with benefits
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46201
Area Code: 463, 317

Great matching candidates will have one or more years of hands on experience in CNC Programming with NX.
This is an onsite position with no remote capability.

CNC Programmer Job Duties:
* Generating programs for lathes, mill-turn machines and multi axis machines.
* Troubleshoot, evaluate, make suggestions involving the assembly process, machinery, tooling, gage alternatives, etc.
* Communicate and interact with shop floor personnel, quality/process teams, customer management team, material teams, purchasing teams and other engineers involved in the process.
* Creating clear & detailed setup sheets and tool lists for the part to be manufactured including in-process drawings as required.

Core Job Qualifications:
* AS or BS in Engineering or relevant CNC Programming skills
* One to five years of relevant work experience as CNC Programmer with hands on experience in the shop/manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of highspeed machining (milling, EDM) required
* NX CAD/CAM experience desired
* Experience with aerospace, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, and/or automotive industries.
* Experience creating and updating technical documents, reports, and standards.
* Ability to be a self-starter with potential for technical leadership and guidance.
* Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members, as well as to managers and engineers in client business units.
* Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required

Desired but not required skills:
* Understanding of Mechanics of Materials and Structural Design
* Knowledge of CAD Modeling (2D, 3D)
* Manufacturing print reading experience
* Experience with Cost reduction
* Knowledge and experience with application of Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, Kaizen, etc.
