3D Modeler/ CAD Drafter

Job Title: 3D Modeler/CAD Drafter (NX or CREO)
Pay Rate: $26-38/hour depending on experience with NX
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46077

Shift: 1st
Full time, direct job with full benefits

Great matching candidates will have a minimum of two years' experience using NX & TEAMCENTER or CREO & Windchill in an aerospace or a high precision machining environment. You will be working with a team of engineers to help design, model, and draft gas turbine engine components, externals, tooling, and fixtures.

3D Modeler/Drafter job duties:
* Application of engineering theories and related knowledge to design industrial ergonomic systems and automated tooling
* Complete 3D drawings and layouts for a variety of moderately complex to complex ergonomic and automated tools including welding fixtures, end of arm tooling, automation holding fixtures, proto-type tooling and general assembly tooling
* Analyze as-built tool design information and prepare design update plans
* Provide final detailing on tooling drawings prior to release for build
* Create field sketches and layouts
* Collaborate with the Project Management team to ensure drawings are released to the shop on time and with accuracy
* Interface with shop floor personnel, engineering, management, and supply chain
* Troubleshooting, evaluating, and making suggestions involving the assembly process, machinery, tooling, gage alternatives

Core Qualifications:
* Two to seven+ years modeling and drafting in NX (Unigraphics) or CREO (Pro-E) 3D Modeling Software
* Manufacturing and tooling experience within the Aerospace industry is highly preferred
* Demonstrate professionalism in all activities and provide efficient service to customers
* Strong understanding of ANSI/ASME and GD&T
* Must have basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office
* Due to the nature of the work being performed, US Citizenship is a requirement

Desired but not required skills:
* Associate degree in engineering highly desired but not required
* Proficiency with TEAMCENTER, Windchill, AutoCAD, and Fides
