FPGA / RTL Hardware Engineer

Description:
*This is a full time, 1 year contract to hire position located in Nashua, NH*



We are seeking an electronic hardware engineer who will support and develop FPGA/RTL designs from design to system integration (design, test, troubleshoot) for embedded military/aerospace analog/digital/mixed signal multi-layer circuit card assemblies/applications.



Candidate duties will include RTL coding, VHDL synthetization placement and routing. For the work, Xilinx Vivado and possibly Altera, Microsemi, Lattice FPGAs will be used. Candidate will be responsible for their design, update/create the specs, and create the RTL design (from bottom up) or from a leveraged code block. Candidate will make a standalone testbench for the design to test basic functionality before handing it off the Design Verification team for detailed testing. Once complete, the designed product will go to the lab for testing and debugging.



Required:
*10 years of FPGA or ASIC digital circuit design in RTL/VHDL (RTL designers also considered)
*Experience with Source Control Tools/Bug Tracking; experience working in a lab environment
*Experience with lab Integration, debug, root cause analysis, lab tools.
*BSEE or equivalent
*Active Secret Clearance



Pluses:
*Xilinx Vivado Verilog or System Verilog
*Linux, GIT Bug Tracking tool such as GForge or JIRA
*FPGA verification and validation
*Testing of VHDL source code, DSP PCIE
*Serial interfaces (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, RS422, RS485, etc), backplane buses including VME, PCI, PCIE
