Job Summary:

As a quality inspector you will be responsible for being the last line of defense in assuring mission success. You will perform in-process inspections and verify that all key performance and design characteristics are met or exceeded during test preparation and acceptance testing. You will be working hands on with the most cutting edge rocket technology currently available and will be part of history.

Job Duties:

• Perform receiving, in process, and final inspection on structures and propulsion major subassemblies, including mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic parts, components, and sub-assemblies
• Inspect, verify, and proactively support structures and propulsion development and acceptance testing; assuring adherence to design, specification, and testing requirements
• Assist with the specification, purchase, and maintenance of calibrated measuring and test equipment
• Communicate and help resolve quality related issues as they relate to the site and other company locations i.e. launch site, production, and manufacturing
• Process non-conforming product

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in relevant field
• Minimum of 3 years’ of experience in an aerospace environment

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Airframe and power plant license
• Knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, and processes
• Knowledge of avionics and electrical systems
• Knowledge of aerospace propulsion and principles
• Knowledge of aerospace structures
• Knowledge of GSE systems and general associated equipment
• Strong knowledge and experience in aerospace standards and its general practices
• Intermediate skill level with Windows operating systems
• Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

• Ability to work at elevated heights
• Physical effort including standing, lifting and carrying moderately heavy materials or equipment up to 35lbs.

Description:
Electrical Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager. Description

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. The applicant will be focused on the electrical wiring and harness assembly diagram design and development for an ADP program. Duties include creating electrical architectures/schematics and creating wiring harness drawings. Also includes resolving wiring/integration related issues between the various avionics/electrical systems, validating/interpreting/troubleshooting/resolving any wiring related issues, performing technical checks to ensure wiring document correctness, providing engineering sign-off on all new/revised manufacturing wiring documents.

Skill/Experience/Education

Summary

This position will require a person with a diversified skill sets who is flexible and able prioritize workloads in a rapidly changing environment. The person must be organized, detail oriented, and a self-starter able to work with little supervision. A typical day can vary greatly and the person can be asked to do production work, QC testing, and/or R&D work with Engineering. The production work would require some electro-mechanical assembly skills for assembling and wiring small to medium size panels and enclosures. The quality work would include testing of incoming components as well as functionality testing for finished assemblies or systems. The R&D work would be hands on work with engineering to help develop prototype concepts and designs. There is a possibility of some travel to help the fielding of newly shipped projects.
