JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

The Engineering Drafter will provide engineering support by performing a variety of product definition duties using CAD tools (AutoCAD & Solidworks) including layout sketches, notes, diagrams, CAD modeling and associative engineering CAD drawings, engineering documentation and reports in accordance with company policies and standards.
REQUIREMENTS
• Strong working knowledge of Solid Works and/or AutoCad
• Basic geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and ability to perform tolerance stacks
• Engineering drawings/modeling and related specifications
• Mechanical drafting and design methods, techniques and procedures
• Mathematics, including algebra and trigonometry
• Perform mathematical calculations in area of assignment which may include positional tolerance (ANSI Y14.5), stress, gauging and other types of engineering analysis
• Interpret and follow verbal and written instructions
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics and related specifications
• Effectively interface with all levels of personnel and work in a team environment
• Effectively estimate, schedule and prioritize work flow
• Understand specifications and shop drawings
