Description:
Ground Test and Aircraft Instrumentation Technician

15+ Months Contract Opportunity

Stratford, CT

Work from Engineering Requests, Procedures and Drawings with limited guidance; to Fabricate, Install, Check-out, Diagnose, and Trouble-Shoot Instrumentation Data Acquisition Systems/Sensors in support of Ground and Flight Test Programs.

Requires planning, building and terminating the various cable harnesses required in the Instrumentation System.
Assist in performing System and sensor calibrations.
Working environment consist of the Structural Test Lab, Remote Test Stands ( Engineering & Quality Assurance ) as well as Offsite support to include Aircraft Instrumentation .
Requires a good working knowledge of Instrumentation Sensors, slip rings, and data acquisition systems.
Must possess a strong Mechanical and Electrical background and familiarity with Strain Gages and their circuitry, linear displacement and vibration transducers, measurement systems, instrumentation wiring and documentation.
Ability to perform strain gage installations preferred.
Must be able to work from elevated work platforms at various heights.
Must be willing and able to work in inclement weather.
Must be capable and comfortable working within a diverse team environment.
