Aircraft Manufacturing Engineer

Description:
*This is a full time, 15 month, contract position based in Fort Worth, TX*



We are hiring for a manufacturing engineer who will be doing part verification for our military aircraft fuselages. The activities candidate will be involved in will include planning/improving process layouts/instructions, machining, sequence of operations, and tooling fabrication that the mechanics can follow.



Will work closely with the manufacturing floor personnel, to ensure efficiency and to solve simple to complex manufacturing problems as well as coming up with the production plan. Will work on capacity planning, production floor layouts, help with capital equipment requirements forecasting, develop ROI analysis, continuous

improvement edicts, root cause analysis, value steam mapping, performance metrics, etc.



Required:
*2 years’ experience as an aerospace process or manufacturing engineer.
*Experience with engineering drawings, work instructions, understanding of tolerances.
*Experience in Productivity for manufacturing; configuration control principles
*4 year engineering or equivalent degree (ME or IE preferred)


Pluses:
*Military aircraft experience, such as the F35.
*LEAN Principles knowledge (training in Green/Black Belt is OK), tools and thinking experience

*Experience with work flows, process development of assemblies, tooling or mechanical integrations
*AS9100 assembly/quality system back ground and track record of process improvement.
*DoD experience/standards testing
