Fluids / Airframe Design Engineer Catia W/Clearance

Description:
*This is a full time, 1 year contract located in Palmdale, CA*

*Per diem split is available for our of town contractors*



We are hiring for a contract fluids and airframe design engineer that will focus on flight fluid design routings, installation as well as a knowledge of other aircraft systems such as wire harness, system installation and structural design. Will validate and allow for data management in the areas of creating layouts, creating new drawings and revising existing drawings using CATIA V5. Will work production floor support from receipt of problem, coordination of answer to release of engineering change. Designs, develops, and tests a variety of power plants, aircraft, missiles, and parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight. Establishes structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and conducts performance tests.



The contractor will work in a system engineering capacity with much of the work touching several areas of a large aerospace entity including production floor support from receipt of problem, coordination of answer to release of engineering change. Will design, develop, and test, including power plants, aircraft, missiles, and parts, with consideration of use of laws of flight. Will work on structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and performance tests.



Required:
*10 Years of aerospace airframe design, layouts and preliminary design using CATIA Version 5.0.
*Strong system engineering, requirements development, and supporting of the manufacturing floor
*Familiar with performance specifications, system checkout procedures, statements of work, trade studies, and component/ground/flight test plans.
*Active Secret Clearance (Special Access) with investigation within last 5 years.

*BSME or similar engineering degree



Pluses:
*Experience with Siemens FiberSim or Teamcenter
*Composite materials design experience
