Ingenium is looking for a Test Project Engineer to work at a client’s facility in Dayton Ohio supporting test of development high speed rotating turbine type equipment

Must be a U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident. No Visa or Student Visa candidates considered.

Responsibilities:
Individual is required to serve in a technical project engineering role as a member of one of the clients starting product design teams. The product will be a high speed, pneumatic driven air turbine device connected to a gearbox speed reducer. The general direction for the individual in this role will be provided by the Engineering Leader, Engineering Project Management and Marketing/Sales leadership assigned to the product.
The role will be as a technical project engineer that will be responsible for the organization and timely accomplishment of various starting product related engineering activities. These tasks could include, but are not limited to, design, analysis, test, production support and direct customer support. It will be the responsibility of the person serving in this role to organize and directly monitor the technical activities utilizing available local and global resources. It will also be necessary for this individual to complete these activities when required. Required technical activities are to be completed in compliance with the quality and deliverable requirements provided by the project and/or marketing leadership. It will also be the responsibility of this individual to ensure completion of all necessary reports and design documentation supporting the decision-making process necessary to complete the requested activities
Desired Qualifications
Experience with effort required to perform static and dynamic stress and vibration finite element analyses using ANSYS software
Experience in the monitoring and completion of design, analysis and testing in the following areas:

• Rotating machinery
• Power transmission and related machine design elements
• Dynamic and static seals
• Bearings
• Turbomachinery
• Fluid flow in piping and valves


Involvement in projects requiring the design and analysis of structural housings that must survive in shock and high vibration environments
Ability to write and organize the completion of design and analysis reports
Ability to perform tolerance stack-ups on layout and check detail drawings with GD&T
Basic understanding of Design for Manufacturing and basic manufacturing methods of metallic components
Experience with UG NX CAD or equivalent 3-D design software
Solid oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on the ability to learn from and lead co-workers
Experience in the organization of field failure reviews
Experience with the organization and completion of multiple project initiatives in a timely manner consistent with project timeline requirements
Experience leading technical discussions with component suppliers regarding new product
definition and product quality.

Responsibilities
Participate in the design, analysis, and test elements of assigned tasks using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures while fulfilling product / program quality and delivery requirements
Utilize technical and organizational aptitude to complete assigned project activities in alignment with project timeline objectives
Participate in preparation of and presentation of technical and program reviews
Assure timely completion of proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks
Interact with suppliers regarding completion of engineering project initiatives that include new component definition, quality concerns with existing products and in the support of field failure reviews.
Participate in the design, analysis, and test of assigned tasks using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures while fulfilling product / program requirements
Desired Software: LabVIEW experience is helpful but not required
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or any specialized equivalent from an accredited university or college preferred. Comparable experience in test of comparable equipment considered
