Manufacturing Engineer Job Description

The role of the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing process instructions, supporting CNC programming, and working with advanced machinery including 5-axis mills, horizontal and vertical lathes, and cylindrical grinding machines.

Manufacturing Engineer Job Responsibilities:

Set up Manufacturing Processes and create Work Instructions

Use SOLIDWORKS to create Operation level Prints and create fail safe inspection processes

Design fixtures for new/existing parts and process planning for new parts

Update setup documentation

Program, set up and operate CNC 5ax Mill-turn, Horiz. and Vert. Turning, and Grinding

Review specifications and verify procedures and their accuracy

Ability to read blueprints/drawings with ASME Y14.5 GD&T

Maximize machine uptime, efficiency, and quality to exceed goal of 90% OEE

Develop and maintain tool data sheets

CNC programming on Fanuc, OSP and Siemens controls and verify CNC program using Vericut

Maintain equipment including reporting of necessary repairs, troubleshooting, and tooling and fixtures

Manufacturing Engineer Job Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen

High School Degree, bachelor’s in engineering preferred

Experience with inspection and metrology tools including micrometers, calipers, optical comparators

Experience Programming of 5 Axis Machining Centers, Horizontal and Vertical Lathes, and Cylindrical Grinding using CAM software - Mastercam experience preferred

Expert user of CAD and 3D Modeling software – SOLIDWORKS experience required

5-axis milling, turning and grinding experience preferred

The Designer position will provide engineering drafting, design, and technical support to facilitate the successful development of new systems and prototype products or modifications and revisions to current systems and products.
Mechanical Designer Job Requirements
Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of mechanical design experience using SOLIDWORKS CAD Software
SOLIDWORKS Certification A Plus
Experience with sheet metal & metal fabrication
Must be able to communicate in a team environment
Support the design team with Engineering Change Orders (ECO’S) and drawing redline changes
Creating 2D drawings from 3D part files
Must be able to work onsite (No Remote Work)
Experience utilizing SolidWorks CAD to do 3D modeling work preferred
Experience creating 2D drawings preferred
Experience with ISO, MIL STD’s and ASME STD’s a plus not required
Ability to work with design team to update models and drawings from design reviews and support any necessary design changes
GD&T experience preferred
