Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Engineer

Location: Fort Worth, TX




The Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer is responsible for developing, managing and communicating the E3 methodology to internal and external customers.


Position Responsibilities:

Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate air vehicle, weapons, and avionics with respect to E3 systems engineering.
Develops and communicates E3 approach and methodology to management.
Determines System level E3 targets and work with IPTs to develop IPT level targets.
Performs air vehicle and systems level analyses to verify performance.
Plans, supports, and leads E3 testing to meet qualification requirements.
Works closely with IPTs to review evolving design and provide E3 input into their decisions, providing E3 impacts to all Design Decision Notices.
Tracks, designs and develops E3 estimates based on preliminary and detail design layouts.
Suggests design improvements / spiral opportunities to improve E3 performance.


Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. Major in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Major in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering may be considered with sufficient experience.
Masters Degree is preferred.

Position Requirements:

At least 9 years of E3 experience on airborne platforms.
Expertise in aerospace design and verification processes to include requirements development and verification.
Skilled in preliminary and detailed design
Proficiency with MRP, Planning, Manufacturing is strongly preferred.
Must have the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate E3 activities, prioritize tasks, and report status.
Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal
and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.
PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
Must have the ability to work effectively within a team.
Good interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
