The contracts are regularly extended and direct opportunities are often available.
Gathers, defines and documents system level requirements to support flight control and mission or trajectory requirements definition. Resolves requirement conflicts. Performs and documents analysis and design of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems to validate or assess the system design or models. Develops solutions and disposition of issues to assure customer satisfaction. Designs trade studies to meet program requirements. Works under general direction.
Remote, onsite or a combination of both? Mix of onsite/remote opportunities
Work Schedule (i.e. FT, PT, On-Call): full time
Will make an exception for a stellar contractor to work part time.
Additional Skills:
Level 3: independent worker, but requires guidance from lead engineer, usually with at last 5 years of experience in related field Level 4: level 3 plus can lead SOW, usually with at last 9 years of experience in related field Level 5: level 4 plus leader in field with ability to provide consultation/mentorship to others, usually with at last 14 years of experience in related field
| Skills: | Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. |
