Mechanical Engineer

Description:

・Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, Auto Cad and Catia V5, and DELMIA
・Communicate with customers on design & manufacturing requirements and share all necessary information with the home office engineering team.
・Develop and revise 2D & 3D design based on given specifications and spec changes.
・Coordinate fabrication, machining, assembly and integration work with local suppliers in an effort to ensure cost, quality and delivery fulfillment as well as working with vendors and component suppliers.
・Technical development and improvement of manufacturing systems and processes; including process / plant layout, work sequence, fixtures / tools / equipment and material flow.
・Ensure all design models, drawings and bills of material are completed per requirements.
・Support manufacturing, including the supervision of build and testing as well as service during the lifespan of the product.
・Communicate with and support management in a timely and efficient manner.
・Welding process development, Project Management, Product Launch and Design.
・Experience with pneumatic tools, hydraulics, automated production equipment, machining, welding and forming requirements, as well as electrical systems.
・Ability to plan, develop, layout, fabricate, assemble, maintain and repair tooling.
・Ability to study and understand specifications, blueprints, sketches and 3D models.
・Broad machine design experience, including motion control
・Exposure to metal fabrication technologies
・Understanding of car body structure, pressing, welding and sealing technologies.
・Ability to create and develop process plans and layouts.
・Understanding of ergonomics, safety and environmental policies.
・Ability to manage quality and cost within design
