JOB TITLE: Senior Engineer MRB Stress
LOCATION: Las Cruces, NM

Details:
Contract: Ongoing
Location: Las Cruces, NM
Contract 12 mos. - potential for direct hire
Able to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
2nd shift is weekday evenings: M-F, approximately 3p-11p
3rd shift is: Thur-Sun, approximately 7a-4p. (Weekend days)
Interviewing candidates that can start in 2-4 weeks.

Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant Engineering discipline
Minimum 10 years' experience in Aerospace airframe / mechanical systems stress analysis
Prior experience performing liaison / MRB activities in aerospace stress applications
Prior experience with both metallic and composite materials analysis / structural substantiation.
Previous professional experience with Finite Element Modeling software.
Solid understanding of material properties & behavior, statics / free body diagrams, and structural load paths.
Availability to work onsite at the Gateway to Space facility outside of Las Cruces, NM at Spaceport America
Strong teamwork and coordination skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Desired Skills:
Previous experience with FEMAP is a strong plus
Knowledge of and / or experience with Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) techniques is a strong plus
Knowledge of and / or experience with Fatigue & Damage Tolerance analysis is a strong plus
Experience with manufacturing-based ERP systems, such as Oracle is a plus
Experience with the design of flight vehicles or vehicle systems to a set of requirements or standards such as CFR 14, Part 400, Part 23 and 25, military or NASA is highly desired
Hands-on experience with composite part fabrication and assembly process is a plus
