PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to support a major leader in the aerospace industry. In this role, you will be the critical link between engineering, production, and compliance teams—ensuring products meet the highest standards of precision, reliability, and safety. Your work will directly impact shop floor performance, audit readiness, and the continuous improvement of quality processes.

What You’ll Do

As a Quality Engineer, you will provide essential support across quality operations, including:

Supporting quality engineering with the creation of testing and qualification test instructions.

Identifying sources for testing and test equipment and performing internal product testing.

Maintaining test records, quality documentation, and sample inventory.

Observing external testing activities as required.

Participating in scheduling and coordination of internal and external audits to uphold AS9100 standards.

Assisting in the development, documentation, and monitoring of quality metrics aligned with AS9100 requirements.

Tracking and following up on Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCAs).

Conducting in-process and basic incoming inspections.

Performing quality audits and inspections, supporting document control, and reviewing and logging training documentation.

Contributing to additional quality-related tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

REQUIRES a 4 year Engineering Degree

Experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

Knowledge of AS9100 standards and audit processes.

Understanding of inspection techniques and quality documentation practices.

Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.

Flight Deck Integration Enginer

Description:
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace organization to support the next generation of aircraft development. We are seeking a Flight Deck Design & Human Factors Engineer to play a critical role in cockpit interface design, usability, and human-centered engineering as testing ramps up next summer.

In this role, your work will directly influence flight crew experience, safety, and operational excellence—helping shape how pilots interact with advanced aircraft systems.

Pay Rate: $65–$95/hour

Duration: 18–24 months

Location: Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite; fully onsite during testing phases)

Mobility: Occasional business travel

Your Impact

You will contribute to multiple programs, supporting flight deck system development through user-centered design, human factors analysis, and hands-on testing. Your expertise will help ensure cockpit interfaces are intuitive, efficient, and aligned with operational and regulatory expectations.

What You’ll Do Day to Day

Participate in Flight Deck and Human Machine Interface (HMI) design and evaluation through prototyping, simulation, analysis, and usability testing

Apply cognitive and physical ergonomics expertise to support testing and human factors analyses

Develop and conduct scenario-based testing of flight deck systems

Build and maintain system HMI simulations

Collaborate directly with flight crews to assess cockpit physical and cognitive usability

Support requirements development, task analysis, and human error analysis

Contribute to UX development and evaluation in alignment with established flight deck design philosophies

Create and manage human factors documentation for new aircraft, cockpit modifications, and sustaining programs

Collaborate with human factors specialists across maintenance, manufacturing, and maintainability teams

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Industrial Design

Degree in Ergonomics (physical and/or cognitive) or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience related to flight deck systems, avionics development, or systems integration

Practical experience with cognitive ergonomics (decision-making, workload, situation awareness, human error) and physical ergonomics (anthropometry, reach, vision, strength)

Experience using computer-based tools for prototyping, interface development, and simulation

Strong technical writing and oral presentation skills

Ability to plan and execute validation and verification testing

English fluency required

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of French

Aerospace industry experience with avionics, system controls, propulsion, or other aircraft systems

About the Role
As a Quality Inspector, you play a critical role in ensuring the airworthiness and safety of aircraft and components. You will be responsible for inspections, documentation, and Return-to-Service approvals — directly impacting flight safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute Return-to-Service processes and approve aircraft in accordance with FAA and other regulatory guidelines.

  • Perform in-depth inspections on aircraft, engines, components, and precision tools for conformity, damage, and compliance.

  • Review and document work packages, arrival records, inspection results, and maintenance actions with precision and accuracy.

  • Inspect new, repaired, or rebuilt parts for defects, conformity, and count accuracy.

  • Validate and approve corrective actions for repairs and alterations conducted by Aircraft Maintenance Technicians.

  • Interpret aircraft drawings, technical documents (REO, EO, DCN), and regulatory data (FAR, AD, SB, CFR, etc).

  • Perform final aircraft walk-around inspections before maintenance release.

  • Support and assist customers as needed in a professional and timely manner.


Qualifications
Required:

  • A&P Certificate Required

  • 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience

  • 1+ year in corporate/commercial jet environments

  • Ability to read/interpret engineering documents and maintenance manuals

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Knowledge of return-to-service procedures and regulatory standards (FAA, CAA, FAR, etc.)

Preferred:

  • Experience using SAP, Pivotal, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word)

  • Proficiency with inspection tools and test equipment

  • Familiarity with aviation forms/processes (RED, RFE, SRPSA)

  • Demonstrate the ability to meet the requirements of the Manufacturing Competencies at the appropriate level in the Employee Effectiveness Review. 

  • Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations. 

  • Check all work and ensure a defect free assembly prior to inspection. 

  • Maintain and use all logs and records. Example: MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, DR/DI, etc. 

  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the company FOD and 5S programs, and comply with all safety regulations. 

  • Support Lean activities. 

 

Other Requirements: 

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position. 

  • Must be able to work any shift. 

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required.  

  • Basic computer skills.  

  • One (1) year related composite experience.

What You’ll Do 

  • Fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and make simple patterns for aircraft interiors following engineering drawings and specifications. 

  • Fit and finish interior components such as panels, windows, cabin headliners, sidewalls, hatches, and bulkheads. 

  • Cut, surge, and install carpets according to design specifications. 

  • Operate commercial sewing machines, sergers, and various hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades. 

  • Create and install carpet patterns per design drawings and engineering guidelines. 

  • Use the material tracking system to generate part demands, record work completion, and resolve discrepancies. 

  • Ensure all tasks meet FAA, customer, and company standards for quality and compliance. 

  • Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting the interior completion and customization process. 

 
 

What We’re Looking For 

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers, or hand tools used in upholstery or carpet work.

What You’ll Do – Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a key member of the customer support team, you will:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external customers, delivering outstanding service and timely communication.

  • Process a high volume of computer-based transactions, managing 150+ repair orders daily.

  • Administer commercial and military repair orders from acknowledgment through quoting, processing, and invoicing.

  • Interpret and execute customer contractual requirements with precision and attention to detail.

  • Proactively manage order flow to meet customer service levels and mitigate risks related to delivery timelines and financial penalties.

  • Evaluate warranty claims for validity and determine appropriate disposition.

Shape the Interiors That Define Flight 

As an Upholstery Technician, you’ll play a hands-on role in bringing precision, craftsmanship, and comfort to aircraft interiors. What You’ll Do 

  • Fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and make simple patterns for aircraft interiors following engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Cut, surge, and install carpets according to design specifications. 

  • Operate commercial sewing machines, sergers, and various hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades.

What You’ll Do

As an Engineering Technical Specialist, you will provide hands-on support to engineering teams while helping maintain the accuracy and integrity of essential data and documentation. Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Assisting with the development, documentation, and implementation of engineering tools, standards, and processes.

  • Supporting the integration and validation of engineering designs and user access roles.

  • Collecting and tracking engineering performance metrics to support business and organizational needs.

About the Role

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Employee Development Specialist to support a leading aerospace organization’s Production System Training (PST) team. This role plays a critical part in strengthening workforce capability by developing and delivering training that directly impacts the safety, performance, and proficiency of aerospace manufacturing teams.

You will guide employees through technical skill development, coach teams, enhance training programs, and ensure instructional standards are met—all contributing to the excellence of aerospace production.


What You’ll Do

As an Employee Development Specialist, you will support learning, performance, and continuous improvement through activities such as:

  • Conducting learning needs analyses and establishing training objectives.
  • Delivering training content and assessing effectiveness against measurable learning outcomes.
  • Facilitating classroom and hands-on learning events across aerospace skill disciplines, such as Electrical, Structural, Seal, Systems, and Quality.
  • Coaching individuals and groups to improve performance and technical proficiency.
  • Preparing course materials, delivering sessions, tracking attendance, and ensuring all training meets organizational standards.
  • Customizing learning programs, presentations, and guides using various delivery methods.
  • Emphasizing and reinforcing safety procedures in all training environments.
  • Conducting assessments and recommending performance improvement opportunities.
  • Leading Train-the-Trainer sessions to qualify new instructors.
  • Collaborating with curriculum developers, instructional designers, engineers, and other partners to enhance training experiences.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior-Level (Level 4) Candidates:

  • Leading projects that develop new educational programs and deliverables.

The Role & Its Impact

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global aerospace leader to find a Structures Technician to support advanced spacecraft manufacturing in Mesa, AZ. In this hands-on role, you’ll be a critical contributor to the bonding, assembly, and structural integrity of next-generation spaceship airframes. Your craftsmanship will directly influence performance, safety, and mission success—on the ground and beyond.


What You’ll Do Day-to-Day

  • Assemble composite and metallic parts and assemblies of varying complexity and size

  • Set up assembly fixturing and perform drilling, fay sealing, trimming, fitting, and fastener installation

  • Safely operate shop tools and machinery including drills, die grinders, calipers, and precision measurement tools

  • Drill a wide range of hole sizes in composite, metal, and mixed-material stack-ups

  • Install and work with multiple fastener types such as Hi-Lite, Hi-Lok, and Composi-Lok

  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, drawings, blueprints, and digital models

  • Ensure quality and efficiency through troubleshooting and process improvements

  • Provide technical input for assessment, repair, and maintenance recommendations

  • Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, FOD prevention, and regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate across teams to meet daily deliverables with a strong focus on execution and accountability


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years of aircraft fabrication and assembly experience (or equivalent industry experience)

  • Hands-on experience in a precision, manual manufacturing environment

  • Familiarity with multiple aircraft fastener types and installation/removal techniques

  • Knowledge of proper drill speeds, feeds, hole angularity, and tolerances

  • Proficiency using specialized tools and equipment for aircraft assembly and repair

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and digital work instructions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely use PPE


Preferred Qualifications

  • A&P training preferred

  • Experience applying current manufacturing practices and eagerness to learn cutting-edge spacecraft manufacturing techniques

  • Experience with hand drills, power feed drills (PFD), Jiffy/E-Tech tools, and Setti Tec

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and quality repairs of malfunctioning systems
