Description:
As an NC Programmer you will play a critical role in supporting the manufacturing process with your expertise in CATIA (V6 / 3DX). You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining operational models, 2D drawings, and digital tooling programs. Your work will directly influence the production of advanced aviation technologies, ensuring that all processes meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.  

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:  

Analyze, interpret, and create Engineering Drawings, Models, and Bills of Materials for manufacturing planning.  

Develop and maintain MCAD models, 2D drawings, Loft MCAD models, flat patterns, and digital tooling programs.  

Execute CATIA (V6 / 3DX) programs for Numerical Controlled equipment and ensure precision through GD&T/Aerospace tolerances.

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of Dassault Brands (3+yrs experience) specially ENOVIA  and DELMIA with experience implementing Dassault 3DX solutions (version 2020x and above preferred).

In-depth knowledge of Manufacturing Item Definition (MID), Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM), and Bill of Process (BoP).

Knowledgeable of common software development principles and lifecycle.

Strong understanding of 3D Interactive Work Instruction generation, NC Programming, Composite Manufacturing, and Additive Manufacturing.

Location: Savannah, GA | Pay Rate: $25.66/hour | Schedule: Full-Time, 1st Shift (4:15am - 2:45pm)
 
Position Purpose:
The Final Line Mechanic I is responsible for installing parts and components, such as aircraft structure parts, systems lines, cables, and associated hardware. This role ensures that all installations meet the required specifications, functionality, and quality standards through final inspection. The mechanic will work in a team-oriented environment, utilizing tools, equipment, and technical knowledge to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
 
 
Essential Functions:
  • Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structure parts and system components. Rig control cables, sectors, linkages, control surfaces, landing gear and doors, engines, cowls, aircraft entry doors and associated parts and hardware.
  • Remove and replace linkage, sectors, components, cut and fit system lines and associated hardware necessary to facilitate and perform basic repairs.
  • Responsible for quality and efficiency of all installations; ensure all parts/assembly meet requirements. Perform necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity.
  • Install systems lines, valves, ducts and associated parts and hardware. Work to ensure a leak free system.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment, including permaswage pumps, dies, line cutting tools, wrenches, checking tools, witness gauges, etc. and tools to successfully complete component and perform minor structure installation.
  • Remove and replace, cut and fit systems lines, panels and structural components and associated hardware necessary to facilitate and perform basic repairs.
  • Update and sign required logs and records as required.
  • Check own work to ensure a defect free installation prior to final inspection.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the company FOD and 5S programs and comply with all safety regulations.
  • Demonstrate Company Manufacturing competencies in the employee effectiveness review.
  • Maintain and use all logs and records such as MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, etc.
  • Support continuous improvement processes as assigned.
*In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required. *
 
Other Requirements:
  • Solumina and Smarteam experience preferred.
  • Requires ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams and use all tools required. to do the job.
  • Ability to perform work such as basic drilling, reaming, ship fitting parts, etc.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted areas and lift up to 50 lbs.
 
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience such as auto mechanics, heavy equipment, etc.
  • A&P license may offset the one year of experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, drill motors, calipers etc.

What You’ll Do – Make an Impact from Day One

As a Mechanical Assembler, you’ll learn to perform key deburring and air grinding operations to ensure the quality and precision of aerospace parts. Under general supervision, you’ll gain hands-on experience and grow your technical skills while supporting a variety of mechanical assembly and inspection tasks that help keep our manufacturing lines moving smoothly.

Position Purpose:
The Final Line Mechanic I is responsible for installing parts and components, such as aircraft structure parts, systems lines, cables, and associated hardware. This role ensures that all installations meet the required specifications, functionality, and quality standards through final inspection. The mechanic will work in a team-oriented environment, utilizing tools, equipment, and technical knowledge to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  
Essential Functions:
  • Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structure parts and system components. Rig control cables, sectors, linkages, control surfaces, landing gear and doors, engines, cowls, aircraft entry doors and associated parts and hardware.
  • Remove and replace linkage, sectors, components, cut and fit system lines and associated hardware necessary to facilitate and perform basic repairs.
  • Responsible for quality and efficiency of all installations; ensure all parts/assembly meet requirements. Perform necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity.
  • Install systems lines, valves, ducts and associated parts and hardware. Work to ensure a leak free system.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment, including permaswage pumps, dies, line cutting tools, wrenches, checking tools, witness gauges, etc. and tools to successfully complete component and perform minor structure installation.
  • Remove and replace, cut and fit systems lines, panels and structural components and associated hardware necessary to facilitate and perform basic repairs.
  • Update and sign required logs and records as required.
  • Check own work to ensure a defect free installation prior to final inspection.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the company FOD and 5S programs and comply with all safety regulations.
  • Demonstrate Company Manufacturing competencies in the employee effectiveness review.
  • Maintain and use all logs and records such as MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, etc.
  • Support continuous improvement processes as assigned.
*In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required. *
 
Other Requirements:
  • Solumina and Smarteam experience preferred.
  • Requires ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams and use all tools required. to do the job.
  • Ability to perform work such as basic drilling, reaming, ship fitting parts, etc.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted areas and lift up to 50 lbs.
 
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience such as auto mechanics, heavy equipment, etc.
  • A&P license may offset the one year of experience required.

Your Boarding Pass:

  • Experience: 6+ years within the aviation industry, specifically in aircraft cabin engineering and development. Expertise in the aircraft cabin modification process, including design, certification, and integration of cabin systems. 

  • Skills: 

  • Strong proficiency in CATIA V5 and configuration management. 

  • Proven experience in aircraft modifications, upgrades, and cabin integration.

  • Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
  • Make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Request (MRR), Production Change Orders (PCO), performs necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity. .
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supports the company 5S Program, and complies with all safety regulations.

Autoclave Operations Technician
As an Autoclave Operations Technician at PDS Tech Commercial, you will play a critical role in the curing and bonding of metallic, fiberglass, and carbon fiber aircraft parts. Working under direct supervision in a team-oriented environment, you will ensure that all components meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of advanced aerospace technology.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate autoclaves and auxiliary equipment to cure and bond aircraft parts and assemblies.

  • Assist in selecting parts and assemblies for simultaneous bonding based on processing requirements and autoclave capacity.

  • Place racks and tools containing parts and assemblies within the autoclaves.

  • Connect thermocouples and vacuum lines to fittings on tool ports and inside the autoclave.

  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supporting the company's FOD and 5S program, and comply with all safety regulations.

  • Retrieve scheduled DWP lay-up tools from tool storage and prepare them for bond room lay-up operations.

  • Assist with the breakdown and cleaning of tools containing cured parts.

  • Store cleaned tools in specified storage areas.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • One (1) year of related or autoclave operational experience.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Tooling Development: Develop and manage statements of work (SOW) for manufacturing tooling. Serve as the primary technical focal point for tooling fabrication both in-house and at supplier locations.

  • Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with QA, Design Engineering, Fabrication, and Vehicle Engineering teams to ensure tooling requirements are met to the highest standards.

  • Supplier Coordination: Engage with suppliers to ensure tooling is fabricated per design specifications and quality standards, while managing timelines and addressing any challenges.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all tooling meets the necessary quality and design specifications and troubleshoot any issues during fabrication.

Required Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree in a relevant field.

  • Proven experience working with suppliers to ensure tooling is produced to specifications and standards.

  • Composites Experience is highly desired.

About the Role:
As a Structural Mechanic II, you will work in a team-oriented environment where you will perform a variety of structural assembly operations. Your work will directly impact the assembly and fitting of aircraft parts and structures, ensuring that each part meets the highest standards of quality and safety. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the assembly process from start to finish, working under minimal supervision to bring complex aircraft designs to life.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures and varied drilling and riveting operations; ensures parts/assembly meet requirements.
  • Rivet structural assemblies and parts using all tools required. to do the job (e.g. portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills, counter sinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, rivets). Must display the ability to remove fasteners without damaging structure.
  • Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations, type size and hole pattern for rivets.
  • Check all work and ensure a defective free assembly prior to final inspection.
  • Maintain and use all logs and records (e.g. MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs).
  • Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
  • Make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Request (MRR), Production Change Orders (PCO), performs necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity. .
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supports the company 5S Program, and complies with all safety regulations.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision on duties and tasks.
  • Support Lean Activities.
 
Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to read and interpret blue prints.
  • Must be skilled in close tolerance work and have knowledge of use of special tools and equipment.
  • Must be able to use mathematical formulas by solving dimensional problems using fractions, decimal fractions and whole numbers.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to read a scale and perform basic shop math.
  • Read and comprehend basic documents and instructions.
  • Must have essential personal skills, which include an aptitude for hands-on craftwork, a professional attitude, attention to detail, ability to work with people and to meet demanding schedules.
  • Must demonstrate good housekeeping and safety practices.
  • Ability to work with composite resins and materials.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work any shift.
  • Must be able to climb ladders/stands/stairs and work in small spaces and/or restricted areas.
 
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years related structural assembly experience.
  • Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
  • Diesel Mechanic, Auto Mechanic experience is a plus. Aviation experience is even better, not looking for Assembly Line workers.
