Position Responsibilities:
Lead development of multiple test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify recommendations for structural components to meet requirements and specifications
Provide high quality decisions based on analysis of test data as it applies to aircraft structural integrity
Define and document aircraft structures certification and test results to ensure customer and regulatory agency requirements are satisfied in support of new manufacturing processes
Lead and perform durability and damage tolerance evaluations of aircraft structures, including strain-life and crack-growth assessments, to establish service life and inspection intervals for structural components
Develop, execute, and interpret fatigue and fracture mechanics analyses (including spectrum loading, FEA inputs, and crack-growth modeling) to support structural substantiation, repair criteria, and maintenance instructions
Work under minimal direction while also leading a team of engineers
Work closely with Boeing technical experts to standardize Enterprise test efforts
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment and fulfillment of fatigue requirements
Strong oral and written communications skills


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location option.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
3+ years of work-related experience performing structural fatigue or fracture analysis
3+ years of work-related experience in fatigue or damage tolerance analysis
3+ years of experience understanding and writing engineering reports based on analysis results, test findings or maintenance reports and present results


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

This role will primarily be responsible for supporting engineering design, integration, test, certification, and hardware/software management for assigned mission systems avionics sub-systems.

Position Responsibilities:
• Support the engineering design, development, analysis, testing, and certification of the mission avionics systems to ensure seamless integration with software and higher-level systems and platforms.
• Support the design, development, validation, and verification of system level requirements.
• Assist in the development of test plans and procedures in support of certification activities.
• Coordinate system-level integration for mission avionics hardware and software.
• Support the definition and execution of critical tests of various types to validate the performance of designs against system requirements.
Gather information to support proposal development and conduct trade studies for future upgrades and new business opportunities.
• Coordinate and ensure FAA, military certification, and Boeing airworthiness activities for the mission avionics systems and its components.
• Coordinate and consult with specialty engineering Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) such as safety, electromagnetic emissions, and cybersecurity.
• Provide troubleshooting support for production labs and aircraft when technical issues occur.

Test Engineer

Johnson Service Group is looking for a contract Test Engineer to work in Monroe, WA location.


JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of testing for hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems components.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setting up & running automated tests for electro-mechanical & hydraulic actuation components
• Learning how to troubleshoot all aspects of our test systems
• These systems include multi-axis hydraulic loading systems, thermal control systems, motor controls and loading systems, and data acquisition systems.
• Maintain software and help maintain calibration on all test equipment
• Develop software for test automation and data acquisition
• Support outside lab testing such as vibration, altitude, humidity, icing, etc.
• Design and assemble data acquisition and control systems

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
• Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or other related field
