Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required. Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electronics Technician for a contract opportunity in Clearwater, FL.

This position is 100% onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sets up test apparatus and conducts tests of electronic assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences; lays out and assembles units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications. Adjusts and calibrates systems as required. Corrects malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed. Uses hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties. Determines types of tests to be performed, approves and suggests modifications to testing equipment, and analyzes test results to evaluate performance of products and equipment. Assists engineers in design and development of test procedures for new products and recommends product improvements or manufacturing modifications. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Troubleshoots to the component level. Utilizes schematic diagrams to isolate failures on Analog and Digital circuitry. Requires a strong knowledge of Solid State devices and micro-circuitry. Works in a dynamic production environment and is able to produce at a high level in support of customer schedules. Proficient in the use of various measurement devices including Digital Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, frequency Standards, signal generators, and RF Power Meters.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
1 year of direct experience
Must have 1-2 years of RF experience
Proficient in component level troubleshooting of solid state, digital, and RF circuits.
Able to use Microsoft Suite and other data collection programs to accurately document maintenance actions.
Flying probe/high power test experience

-The role includes elements of requirements, design, analysis, integration, test, reviews, and safety coordination.

Description:
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Field Technician a contract opportunity in White Sands Missile Range, NM.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem(s) in minimum time. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Technician with previous hands on experience
o Previous experience with Mechanical Assembly in Aerospace systems
o Previous experience with Electrical Test Equipment
o Experience working with Standard Procedures
o Experience with Critical Test Equipment (Mechanical or Electrical)
o Experience with Explosives a plus (This position will not be exposed to explosives, the Manager is simply looking for someone who has experience working with explosives).

Chipton-Ross is seeking 18 Fabrication Specialist A's for a contract opportunity in Salt Lake City, UT.

*This position is 100% ONSITE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks. Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks. Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains. Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products. Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation. Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements. Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

This position is 100% onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
¤ Responsible For identifying operational testing needs and executing strategic planning initiatives for creating a safe and efficient shop floor testing environment
¤ Work in parallel with design engineering, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, environmental safety & health and production operations
¤ Create manufacturing test engineering statement of work contractual requirements
¤ Interface with shop floor management & shop floor personnel to help troubleshoot and resolve vehicle test issues and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
¤ Create shop aid tooling, analyze shop floor performance and support the quality organization in root cause analysis and corrective action activities for process-related defects

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Testing and troubleshooting of aircraft sub-systems such as:
o fuel systems, pumps, valves, actuators, hydraulics, electrical
o Acting as rest conductor/ director for air vehicle testing
o Authoring air vehicle system (fuel, hydraulic, electrical, etc.) test procedures and plans
o Identification and operation of specialized test equipment
o Wire harness and interconnect installation/ integration
o Aircraft sub-systems assembly and integration
o Work instruction authoring and work planning
o Hands-on production floor support (Direct ownership and support of specific operations as well as interface with touch-labor employees)
o Hands-on experience with Ground Support Equipment (GSE), such as hydraulic mules, power carts, cooling air carts, etc.
o Knowledge of common airworthiness, quality, and manufacturing requirements for air vehicle validation
o Ability to develop testing setups with little direction or information

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct technical analysis of manufacturing and facilities equipment installations, modifications and enhancements to evaluate reliability and MTTF.
