JOB Description:
Mechanical Engineer – Missile System Design to support our Mechanical Engineering Department.

Essential Functions:
· Based on specific stated objectives, performs mechanical analysis, mechanical CAD design, or mechanical test of one or more complex materials, structural components or functional systems of missile system products. Use advanced structural and product design engineering software tools along with CAD software, preferably Siemens NX. Knowledge of GD&T principles and application to designs

Sr. Hardware Test Engineer

Description:
The Senior Test Engineer will architect and lead development of integrated hardware and software test platforms that generate Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for validating flight hardware. You will define and implement validation strategies, establish test architectures and standards, and ensure flight units meet performance, reliability, and mission requirements throughout development and qualification.

Key Responsibilities
Lead design and implementation of EGSE systems, including selection of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) instruments, design of custom test enclosures, and specification of cabling and connectors.
Develop automated test frameworks and scripts to exercise functional, performance, and reliability requirements for Units Under Test (UUTs).
Define validation plans, test procedures, and acceptance criteria; execute test campaigns and document results.
Interface EGSE hardware with UUTs (typical UUT: SBC with custom analog/digital I/O boards for C&DH in cPCI form factor; EPS boards on custom backplane for power switching and battery/solar management).
Collaborate with design, firmware, and systems engineering teams to ensure testability, traceability, and timely defect resolution.
Design and verify signal integrity and power delivery solutions to support high-speed interfaces and reliable operation.
Support environmental, EMC/EMI, vibration, thermal-vacuum, and flight-acceptance testing as required.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvement and test documentation.

Required Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering (or related) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Strong software skills: expert-level C and LabVIEW development; scripting experience (Python, Java, or JavaScript).
Hands-on experience with traditional and automated test equipment: programmable power supplies, oscilloscopes (high-speed), function/arbitrary waveform generators, frequency counters, logic analyzers, electronic loads, and DAQ systems.
Experience with test management and version control tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Git, Perforce).
Proven experience designing test hardware, including cable/harness design and integration.
Strong troubleshooting and debug skills at system and board level.
Familiarity with communication and bus protocols: SpaceWire, Ethernet, USB, SPI, PCI, UART, and SERDES.

Summary:
Electrical Engineer to research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will work in a team environment within the Vehicle Engineering IPT and his/her roles and responsibilities include:
• Support electrical wiring team group with their design needs, support manufacturing with wiring integration, route cable/wiring harness in 3D environment in accordance with internal standard and MIL-W-5088 or AS50881, design and release cable/wiring installation.
• You will be a member of a multi-disciplined team in the Vehicle Engineering Department.
• You will be working with a team of engineers coordinating with multiple disciplines to determine solutions to problems quickly and efficiently.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 4-5 years of experience in electrical cable/wiring harness routing on military and/or commercial aircraft, OR
• OR Master’s Degree in STEM with 2 years of experience in electrical cable/wiring harness routing on A/C.
• Self-starter who can work with minimal direction.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS-Project, Visio).
• Proficiency in technical communication, both written and verbal, is crucial.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with a team are often necessary.

Preferred Qualifications (A plus, NOT required):
• STEM Degree (Science, Technical, Engineering or Mathematical).
• Solid modeling design skills (i.e., NX Siemens, Team Center Enterprise (TcE), CATIA, Solid Works).
• Ability to demonstrate independent creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with designing and integrating components into larger systems.
• Experience managing projects (schedule and technical performance).
