Key Components
In charge of programming for all CNC machines
Ensuring that all programming for all CNC machines are accurate and free from errors, including programming written by other shop programming technicians
Training and assisting programming technicians on the philosophy of programming
Assisting operators, when necessary, on basic programming, machine setup, and troubleshooting
Program File and revision organization
Programming/Drawing revisions for future builds
Develops standardized cutter list and implementation
Identifies any specialty tooling (I.E. cutters, inserts, end mills, etc.) needed prior to job commencement
Programs written around available equipment and open capacity
Key Requirements
Professional Requirements
10+ years of experience with CNC programming
8+ years of Mastercam experience.
8+ years of experience with aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel and titanium
15+ years of experience operating CNC and manual machines
Strong understanding of precision measuring tooling and equipment
Hands-on experience in a precision yet manual manufacturing setting required.
Daily attendance is essential for this position.
A strong understanding of the importance of FOD control and tool control.
Experienced with Quality Inspection points and process documentation.
Thinks outside of the box and finish jobs per schedule and demands.
Must be able to take direction well and is a strong team player.
Extreme attention to detail and continual pursuit of perfection.
Excellent listening and communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing philosophies and tools a plus.
Experience with manufacturing-based ERP systems a plus.
Strong safety work ethic – recognizes the importance of properly handing hazardous materials, chemicals, tools, etc.
Must be comfortable working in a non-temperature controlled environment.
Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR §120.15).
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for extended periods – 8 hours min.
Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces.
Physically able to handle items weighing up to 40lbs (unassisted).
