You can restrict or expand the search in several ways:

  1. Use logical operators -
    • AND - Phrase1 AND Phrase2: both phrases must be present in order to match.
    • OR - Phrase1 OR Phrase2: either of the two phrases will cause a match.
    • NOT - Phrase1 NOT Phrase2: phrase1 must be present and phrase2 must NOT be present in order to match.
  2. Use a wild card - Putting an asterisk (*) at the end or beginning of a word will match any characters after or before the word. For instance, des* will match design, designer and designers.
  3. Use quotes around exact phrases - If you want to find software engineers then put quotes around the keywords "software engineer" to match only records with that exact phrase.

You can specify multiple keywords. If not otherwise specified, the search engine will find resumes that contain ALL of the keywords listed. You can use AND, OR, and NOT keywords to narrow your search. You can also use parentheses to group keywords. For instance:

software and (c++ or fortran)

will find resumes that contain software and one of either c++ or fortran.
